Born in Manchester, he began in his father’s antiques shop before creating his own designs inspired by antique craftsmanship. Oulton emphasized high-quality, often reclaimed materials, and built a global brand with over 50 galleries worldwide, leaving a lasting influence on contemporary furniture design.
